DO YOU SELL IMAGES OF YOUR MAPS SO I CAN PRINT IT AT MY HOME/OFFICE?
No, I only sell my original maps in hard copy paper format. (Copyright laws apply to violators).
DO YOU SHIP TO CANADA?
No, I no longer ship to Canada or internationally due to the time, cost, and applicable VAT associated.
ARE YOUR MAPS SOLD FRAMED?
No. Pictures of framed maps on the site are mock-ups for exemplar display purposes only.
HOW ARE YOUR MAPS SHIPPED, PACKED & PRINTED?
FREE USPS SHIPPING, packaging, and handling is included in all listed prices, i.e. every and all orders are shipped for free.
Insured USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Shipping is included for all wall maps. Folded maps (i.e. Geofolds) are not insured and are shipped by stamped mailer envelope. Orders outside of the Western states, i.e. Central and Eastern States are generally shipped now by Ground Advantage (so I don’t go broke shipping everything for free).
20 by 24 inch wall maps are shipped in 3 inch tubes. 19 x 13 inch maps are shipped in sturdy “Stayflat” mailers.
All wall maps are printed in small volumes with HP Indigo Digital Presses at Hi-Tech Printing in Boise on a heavyweight fine paper (i.e. they are high quality ink prints NOT laser printed toner or other subpar qualities).
Folded maps are printed with a lithographic offset press at Treasure Valley Litho, also in Boise.
HOW LONG DOES ORDER PROCESSING AND SHIPPING TAKE?
Orders are filled as they are received within the queue. Depending upon the delivery address, USPS Priority shipping may be 1 - 3 days. USPS Ground Advantage is a 3-6 day shipping time (commonly used for East Coast orders). I try to pack and ship orders within a few days of receiving an order. One may expect 2 - 6 days between order queue placement, processing, and delivery. Thank you for your patience (this is a sole proprietor business - unlike Amazon there aren’t second shift staff).
WHAT IS YOUR RETURNS POLICY?
Firstly it should be noted, you’re dealing with a sole-proprietor small business when ordering from Mitchell Geography — unlike a large corporation (e.g. Amazon) I do not offer limitless free return/exchange shipping on internet orders. Free shipping is included in all listed prices, but not free return shipping.
All rolled and flat shipped wall map orders are insured via USPS Priority/Ground Advantage Shipping. If your order is damaged in shipping, please let me know. I’m happy to send a replacement or issue a full refund immediately.
If you are simply dissatisfied with your purchase, please let me know. I will request you to return the products ordered (by insured USPS Priority/Ground Advantage). Once the return has been received undamaged, I will issue you a full refund.
USPS INSURANCE CLAIMS
In order to file a claim, USPS has been recently requiring one to produce the damaged package and goods at their local Post Office. I also request photos of the damaged package and print in order to file a claim with USPS.
*GEOFOLDS (my folding map series) are mailed by regular stamped (usually non-machineable stamps) and not insured — please still let me know if your GEOFOLD was damaged as I’ll likely replace it depending upon the situation.
